Learn ways to honor our families and our dead while respecting and nourishing our Mother Earth.
Â
In Environmental Death 101 we explore the significant impact our final choices have on the planet. This course delves into the various traditions and technical aspects of end-of-life care, exploring each of the newest, greenest options, including conventional burial, green burial, cremation, water cremation, and natural organic reduction, among others.
The conventional funeral industry often overlooks its environmental footprint, but a growing community of eco-conscious deathworkers and communities are forging paths toward more sustainable practices.
Join us as we challenge the norms and shift the paradigm of deathcare in America. This course is a call to action for anyone interested in reducing the ecological impact of their final rites and contributing to a legacy of environmental stewardship.
Just a quick thank you for all that you are exposing me to. After each evening session I feel alive, my heart more full of excitement than at any other time during the day. The diverse perspectives, the new vocabulary, the inside look that is so hard to find on my own...it is all making me a stronger and more informed advocate for the people that I care for.
